This notice explains how personal data are processed when you visit mint-bruck.at or contact MINT-BRUCK.

2. Website hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. When pages are requested, the hosting provider processes technical data: IP address, requested page, time of access, amount of data transferred, referring page, browser and operating system. Accesses and errors are logged.

This supports secure delivery, troubleshooting and website stability. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is reliable and secure operation. The transmission of these technically necessary data cannot be avoided when visiting the website.

According to Alfahosting’s published information, IP addresses in logs are truncated after 24 hours and the logs are deleted within seven days. Alfahosting processes these data as a technical service provider.

3. Contact by email or telephone

When you contact me, I process your contact details, the content of your enquiry and technical communication data to respond and, where relevant, prepare an offer or collaboration.

Enquiries concerning a contract or its performance are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in responding to correspondence under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Statutory retention obligations are based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Recipients may include the technical providers used for email and telecommunications, where needed to communicate. Data are deleted once the enquiry and foreseeable follow-up questions have been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate requirements for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims apply. Contractual and accounting records are kept for the applicable statutory period.

Contacting me is voluntary. Without the information needed to address your enquiry, I may be unable to respond. This website does not contain a contact form.

4. Optional visitor statistics with Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interest in our three areas: work with institutions, Expertise & Consulting, and professional development. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Data include page views, session and device information, approximate region, referring website, opening offer details and clicking further offer or contact links. Cookies contain pseudonymous identifiers used to recognise a browser. Our event measurement does not send message contents, names, email addresses or telephone numbers to Google. A click on a contact link does not mean that a message was actually sent.

Google technically receives your IP address. According to Google’s information, IP addresses of users in the EU, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are discarded before further logging. Analytics nevertheless involves the processing of personal data.

The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). Google analytics services are not loaded without consent. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled; analytics is used to improve our offerings.

Google and its service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Where transfers are not covered by an adequacy decision, Google provides for Standard Contractual Clauses. Analytics cookies are limited to up to 90 days. The retention period for user-level and event-level analytics data is set to 14 months, followed by Google’s monthly deletion process. Aggregated statistical reports may remain available for longer. Further information: Google Privacy Policy.

You can reject analytics or withdraw your consent at any time using “Privacy settings” in the footer. Further analytics is then stopped and analytics cookies set by this integration are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. All offers remain available without consent.

5. Cookies and remembering your choice

Your choice is stored only in your browser so the website can respect it on subsequent visits. This storage is necessary to manage your privacy settings, based on Section 165(3) TKG 2021 and the legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in reliably implementing your decision.

If you clear browser data, your choice may be lost and requested again.

6. External links and embedded content

This website links to AstroMum, publication databases, press articles and educational resources. These links are not embedded services. Opening a link takes you to the external website, where its own privacy information applies. The collaboration map and other images are supplied directly with this website. There are no embedded map, video or social media services.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

Right to object: Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Processing will then stop unless there are compelling legitimate grounds or requirements for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
